This course equips participants with the knowledge to lead congregational prayers, i.e. from the calling of the Azan to the recitations of closing dua (supplications) after prayer. It encompasses the essentials, such as the conditions to be an Imam of Fardhu (Obligatory) prayers, the Saf (arrangement) of a Jama’ah prayer which consists of male and female adults as well as children. Other topics such as the excellence of praying in congregation and virtues of being the Muazzin during prayers will also be discussed.
Ustaz Ahmad Faritz bin Mohamed Hairudin’s early education began at Madrasah Wak Tanjong Al-Islamiah, where he spent 12 years, before pursuing his tertiary education. He continued his studies at Al-Azhar University in Egypt and was conferred a B.A. in Islamic Jurisprudence. Ustaz Ahmad Faritz had conducted various enrichment and training programmes at various organisations in Singapore such as the Muslim Youth Forum (MYF), among others. He was also a former Executive Imam at Darussalam Mosque.
