Introduction

The purpose of the online sessions is to live the spirit of Ramadhan by making the Quran part of our lives.
As it is a tradition/culture and highly encouraged to complete (khatam) the Quran in the month of Ramadhan and we hope to achieve this by the end of the blessed month
The objectives of the tadarus are as follows:
  • To make the Quran part of our lives
  • To get more acquainted to the Quran
  • To enjoy and instil the Quran in all of us
  • To gain barakah from the Quran
  • To gain closeness to Allah (form of zikr and ibadah)
  • To gain closeness to the Prophet Muhammad PBUH (the walking Quran)
  • To purify our hearts with the blessing of the Quran
  • To learn from the Quran
  • To foster bond (ukhuwah) through the Quran

House Rules

  • All to observe proper etiquette with the Quran
  • Be in state of ablution (wudhu’)
  • Cover aurah
  • Face the direction of prayer (kiblat, if possible)
  • Encouraged to use mashaf (and not via phone)
  • For reciters, ensure that the room is quiet and no background noise
  • Listeners to mute the microphone at all times
  • All are encouraged to turn on video so as to have faces shown and not remain anonymous
  • Sisters who are on their monthly cycle may still join and listen in however, do ensure to use a Quran translation
  • All to be kind and encouraging to each other – no judgement, we are all learning!
