This Book is part of the Magnum Opus of al-Imam Abu Hamid al-Ghazali called ‘Ihya’ Ulum al-Din’ (The Revival of the Religious Sciences). It guides general Muslims on having good moral to earn a sustainable livelihood by engaging in different economic activities which are acceptable in Islam. Adi Setia, the translator of this book, has also lightly annotated the text and pointed out the deep relevance of this work to our current understanding of economy based on Islamic economic sciences, giving an insight that a society can benefit out of the true Islamic economy, i.e., earning and giving for oneself or to others, resulting in reviving a true Islamic economy in a society.
