Assistant Manager - Finance

ABOUT THE ROLE:
You will oversee the full spectrum of finance operations — from reporting and compliance to budgeting and team leadership. Working closely with senior management and division heads, you will ensure accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and sound financial decision-making.
This is a leadership role with both strategic and hands-on responsibilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Reporting & Close
- Lead monthly and year-end closing processes
- Prepare and review financial statements and management reports
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, the Singapore Companies Act, and SFRS(I)
- Perform reconciliations and analytical reviews
Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
- Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting
- Monitor KPIs and provide variance analysis
- Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts and financial projections
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic decisions
Governance, Compliance & Audit
- Strengthen financial controls and improve processes
- Oversee GST and corporate tax filings
- Facilitate internal and external audits
- Ensure full compliance with financial regulations
Cash Flow & Working Capital
- Monitor cash balances and liquidity
- Oversee Accounts Receivable and improve collection performance
- Oversee Accounts Payable and optimise payment terms
Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor Accounts Executives
- Guide team performance, training, and development
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing finance team
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- ACCA/Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–5 years of relevant finance or accounting/audit experience
- Experience in non-profit, charity or public sector is a plus
- Exposure to financial reporting, tax, audit, and team supervision
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations
- Proficient in MS Office and accounting systems (SAP is an advantage)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- High integrity and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
