About The Programme

Introduction to Islamic Studies (INSTIL) is a 6-months course designed to assist New Muslim Converts and the Born Muslims towards the foundational studies of Islam. An introductory course for students who intend to pursue higher Islamic learning courses offered by MCAS in future.


INSTIL aims to provide:

  • A structured Islamic Studies programme, providing a pathway towards pursuing formal education in Islamic Studies
  • A guide for new Muslim Converts towards the foundational studies of Islam
  • A Fardhu Ain (Individual Obligation) refresher course for Converts and Born Muslims
  • Introductory course towards life-long Islamic Learning for adults

  1. Introduction to Islamic Creed 1 (Aqidah 1)
  2. Introduction to Islamic Creed 2 (Aqidah 2)
  3. Principals of Islamic Morality (Al-Khuluq Al-Islamiyah)
  4. Foundation of Fiqh of Worship 1 (Fiqh Ibadah 1)
  5. Foundation of Fiqh of Worship 2 (Fiqh Ibadah 2)
  6. Foundation of Fiqh of Worship 3 (Fiqh Ibadah 3)
  7. Reflection of the Prophet's s.a.w & Early Muslim's Life 1 (Sirah Nabawiyyah 1)
  8. Reflection of the Prophet's s.a.w & Early Muslim's Life 2 (Sirah Nabawiyyah 2)

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Basic proficiency in English language

  • Saturdays, 9.30am - 2.00pm @ MCAS Building
  • Tuesday & Thursday, 7.30pm - 9.30pm (Online Lesson, Once a month)

    Introduction to Islamic Studies

    Attain at least 60% of Attendance to progress to Certificate Programme.

    Certificate in Islamic Studies

    Students who are conferred with Certificate in this level may progress to Advance Certificate Programme.

    Advanced Certificate in Islamic Studies

    Students who are conferred with Certificate in this level may progress to Diploma Programme.

    Diploma in Islamic Studies

    Diploma in Islamic Studies conferred by MCAS.

    • Its obligatory to learn the religion, Muslim way of life. This course helps to understand better the broad spectrum of social and cultural diversity across humanity. Moreover Islam deals with the universal education for practical life and moral values. Islam also commands love, love of his messenger, (Muhammad) and of believers.

    1. The application form submission does not guarantee you a place in the programme. The final decision rests with MCAS Education Division. Only shortlisted applicants will be notified of their successful application.
