Program Synopsis

As Islam continues to spread globally, many Muslims at various stages of their spiritual journey may find practices like fasting to be a daunting adjustment to integrate into their lifestyle.

This talk by moves beyond rigid rules to focus on the true essence of Ramadhan: a month of mercy and spiritual renewal.

Inspired by the Quranic verse, “Fasting is prescribed for you...so that you may be mindful of God” (2:183),

Sheikh ‘Umar Bin Hussein Al-Khatib addresses the unique challenges of this deep spiritual journey, along with compassionate advice.

Guided by Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) reminder to “Make things easy and do not make things difficult” this talk aims to offer a supportive roadmap to more realistic and achievable acts of worship for the sake of Allah SWT.
