Course Synopsis

In this book, Imam al-Ghazali brilliantly explains the nature of the most easily used organ yet most difficult to control - the tongue. While seemingly harmless, it is dangerous to ourselves and others. With our tongue, we can communicate, declare our faith, console our brothers or wound those around us risking our future in the Hereafter. The merit of the solution -often simply silence- can be enormously difficult. In this age of internet-based communication, the results of the projection of our thoughts can be a double edged sword. Thus, the Banes of the Tongue is highly relevant now.
