About Da'wah First Responder Workshop:

Building on the success of previous editions, DATP 2026 has been redesigned with a strategic focus on Muslim youth aged 17-35. This responds to the increasing need to equip youths who regularly engage with peers of different faiths in schools, tertiary institutions and workplaces. Since its inception, DATP has successfully conducted multiple runs, training over 80 participants, many of whom have continued serving as volunteers, outreach assistants, docents and programme facilitators within MCAS.

Why youth?
Youths today are increasingly exposed to interfaith interactions through schools, tertiary institutions, social media and workplaces. They are also more likely to encounter misconceptions about Islam and questions from peers. Equipping them with foundational da'wah skills at an early stage strengthens their confidence and enables them to represent Islam responsibly.

Benefits of DATP:

• Develop a sustainable pipeline of future MCAS Da'wah volunteers and youth leaders.
• Equip youths with foundational Da’wah communication skills
• Build confidence in engaging in conversations about Islam.
• Provide understanding of Da’wah within the Singapore context
• Address common misconceptions about Islam effectively

Modules:
The programme consists of 4 modules conducted over 2 weekends, Students are required to attend all modules to receive a certificate of completion at the end of the program.

Modules cover essential skills for da’wah:

• Harmony in Diversity Gallery Tour
• Cross Cultural Da'wah
• Introduction to Da’wah in Singapore
• Misconceptions Towards Islam

Participants who complete the programme will have the following opportunities:
• Interact with potential converts and befriend new converts
• Be part of Youths of Darul Arqam (YODA)
• Be docents and volunteers at the Muslim Converts Association of Singapore and share the beauty of Islam with people of different faiths
• Participate in MCAS' roadshows, open houses, book fairs, and other da'wah initiatives
