About The Programme

INTRIQ is a comprehensive one-year program divided into two six-months modules. Designed for individuals with no prior Quranic knowledge, this course provides a solid foundation in Quranic Phonetics and Tajweed, enabling participants to read the Quran accurately and beautifully.

Course Structure

Module 1: Quranic Phonetics
Focus: Learn the correct pronunciation of Arabic letters and sounds
Objectives:
  • Improve pronunciation of Arabic letters
  • Gain confidence in reading the Quran fluently and accurately

  • Module 2: Quranic Tajweed
    Focus: Deepen understanding of Tajweed rules and their application in Quran recitation.
    Objectives:
  • Apply Tajweed rules to improve recitation quality.
  • Recite the Quran with proper intonation and rhythm.
  • Develop a strong foundation for advanced Quranic studies.

    Programme Objectives

    • To educate participants on the basic rulings of recitation.
    • To guide participants in reciting the Quran with proper Tajweed.
    • Preparatory course for future Certificate/Diploma in Quranic Studies.

    • Learning Outcomes

    • Read the Quran fluently and accurately.
    • Recite the Quran with proper intonation and rhythm.
    • Apply basic Tajweed rules to improve recitation quality.
    • Develop a strong foundation for further Quranic studies.

    • Writing of Arabic Alphabets
    • Introduction of Arabic Vowels
    • Recitation of Short Verses of Al-Quran
    • Introduction to Tajweed
    • Ruling of Nun Sakinah & Tanwin
    • Ruling of Mim Sakinah
    • Ruling of Madd
    • *Rulings Application in Recitation of selected surahs in Juz ‘Amma (Chapter 30 of the Quran)
    • Criteria
    • At least 18 years of age
    • Basic proficiency in English language
    • *For Quranic Tajweed: Intermediate fluency of Quranic Recitation

    Recommended Pathway

    Introduction to Quranic Literacy

    Students who possessed basic to intermediate level of Quranic Literacy and fluency and have acquired basic knowledge of Islamic Studies may progress to Certificate in Quranic Studies.
    2

    Foundation in Quranic Studies (FIQS Certificate)

    Students who are conferred with Certificate in this level may progress to Advanced Certificate Programme
    3

    Advanced Certificate in Quranic Studies (Coming Soon)

    Students who are conferred with Certificate in this level may progress to Diploma in Quranic Studies
    4

    Diploma in Quranic Studies (Coming Soon)

    Diploma in Quranic Studies conferred by MCAS

    1. The application form submission does not guarantee you a place in the programme. The final decision rests with MCAS Education Division. Only shortlisted applicant will be notified of their successful application.
