PART-TIME BOOKSHOP ASSISTANT
We are looking for a dedicated and service-oriented Part-Time Bookshop Assistant to support the daily operations of our bookshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing counter operations, and assisting with administrative and logistical duties.
This role requires someone who is friendly, organised, and able to engage customers professionally. An interest in Islamic books, publications, and current trends in Islamic literature would be an advantage. Availability to work on weekends is preferred.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Manage and operate the bookshop counter
Process payments for book purchases, Zakat, fees, membership renewals, and other donations
Attend to customer enquiries and provide assistance with book recommendations and requests
Support administrative and logistical tasks related to bookshop operations
Ensure smooth daily operations and a positive customer experience
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum O-Level qualification
Prior experience in retail, customer service, or marketing is preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Customer-focused with a positive and friendly attitude
Availability to work on weekends is preferred
